Lyndhurst Cottage is a family friendly holiday home in the village of Peasmarsh, close to Rye, sleeping up to 6 guests.
The cottage is hidden, along an unmade track in the middle of the village, totally private except for the neighbouring horses. You enter through the five bar gate along a gravel drive to the front door. The garden wraps round to side of the house and is laid mainly to lawn with pretty flower beds and trees, a little haven on sunny days. Through the front door into the large fairly open plan ground floor. A flame effect gas fire for creating a cosy atmosphere on those Autumn and Winter evenings gives the room a focus point. Ample comfy seating for all the family and a desk space if you should need to bring work away with you. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your catering needs, with a dishwasher so no arguments over who’s washing up! There is a dining table in front of the french doors that open out onto a paved terrace area. There is an additional cloakroom with WC & hand basin. Stairs lead up to the two bedrooms and family bathroom. One bedroom is a king size bedroom with the option of a trundle bed for a child and the second bedroom is a twin bedroom with the option of another trundle bed for a child. This room also has the option of joining the beds to make it a double bedroom if you should need it. We need to know the bed configuration on booking. The trundle beds are not suitable for adult guests so we can only except a maximum of 4 adults on any one booking. The family bathroom is between the two bedrooms and has a bath, shower screen, shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. The cottage has parking for up to three cars.
Lyndhurst Cottage really is a hidden gem and the perfect base for exploring all the surrounding countryside and towns have to offer.
