About the Accommodation

Rock Lobster is a family and dog-friendly holiday cottage in Camber Sands, only six minutes from the beach.

Rock Lobster is a favourite tipple of the owners and a perfect holiday drink to help you unwind and relax while away.

The two-bedroom cottage has everything you need to get the most from your stay, a home-from-home.

The cottage is located in the centre of the village and has parking for two cars, a fully enclosed garden to keep the dog safe and is well-equipped for anyone travelling with a young family.

You enter the small hallway which leads to the open-plan lounge/diner, the downstairs cloakroom and a small but well-equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave.

The cottage has a Smart 40" TV and free unlimited super-fast fibre broadband. There are games, books and toys for the younger guests staying.

The garden is partially decked and fully enclosed to keep children and dogs safe during their stay. A garden shed perfect for bicycle storage and a Weber gas BBQ to enjoy during your stay for alfresco dining.

The stairs lead to the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The bedrooms can be configured as kingsize beds or singles which are 2'6" in size. Both bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot if required. The bathroom has a bath, rain shower, WC, hand basin, and heated towel rail. Guests are provided with Sea Kelp toiletries.

The cottage will allow two dogs but please know rules apply and we are happy to share the information before you book if needed.

There will be a welcome tray for your arrival with homemade marmalade made by Carol, the owner, fresh bread, tea, sugar and coffee. We provide a supply of condiments, cleaning materials and dishwasher tablets but ask guests to remember, it is a self-catering holiday cottage.

The cottage is a fantastic base for young families who wish to enjoy a beach holiday or for couples looking to explore the area and enjoy everything Rye has to offer, only 3 miles away.

Neighbourhood

The beach is only 6 minutes from the property, climb the sand dunes and pick your spot, the choice is endless as the miles of sand stretch before you. The perfect spot for leisurely paddles, building sandcastles, body boarding in the safe shallow waters or soaking up the suns rays. The property is a great base for water sports, with Camber Kite surfing Centre close by and Rye Water sports only a 5-minute drive away. Both offer lessons and kit hire. Camber E-bike hire is 10 minutes from the property and with local cycle routes heading in both directions from the property, a great way to explore Romney Marsh or if you wish to leave the car behind and explore Rye.

Transport

• Good transports links available if visiting by train - from London you can get to Rye via Hastings or alternatively from Ashford International station.
• If traveling from Europe via the Eurostar, then depart at Ashford International and get the connecting Marsh link train to bring you to Rye.
• If driving from Europe, the village of Camber is about 45 minutes from the ferries at Dover or the Euro Tunnel at Folkestone.
• Gatwick airport - approximately 50 miles from the property.
• There is an hourly bus service from the village that travels to Rye & Folkestone.
• Taxis available from Rye Railway station.
• Car free cycle and footpath all the way to Rye from the village about 3 miles.
