Tilling View is a cosy, comfortable holiday cottage with parking, overlooking the river.

Tilling View is perfect for exploring Rye and the surrounding 1066 Country.

You enter the property into a small hallway leading to the open-plan lounge/dining area. The double aspect means the room is flooded with light and has been furnished with comfort in mind.

The lounge area has a large Smart TV and the dining area has seating to accommodate guests easily and is a pleasant spot for holiday meals.

There are a few steps down into the modern, fully equipped kitchen with all the mod-cons to feel like home from home. There is a downstairs cloakroom off the kitchen.

The garden is fully enclosed and decked with an outside picnic table for lazy breakfasts or an evening tipple.

Stairs lead up to the two bedrooms and the family bathroom. There is one twin room and one double bedroom overlooking the river.

Guests will find the holiday cottage spacious and homely, a relaxing retreat after a day out, and great for a short break any time of the year.

The ideal location of 'Tilling View' means you are perfectly located to enjoy all Rye has to offer and all within easy walking distance.

Fabulous restaurants, pubs, cafes, independent shops, and places of interest are all within minutes of the property.

I always highly recommend a visit to Rye Heritage Centre to get your bearings and learn about the town and its past. Watch the town's, 'Sound and Light Show' and develop a good understanding of the town's history and inhabitants. For light entertainment, visit the 'Old Penny Pier Exhibition'  and watch or play the old automated machines.

Rye and Dungeness Nature Reserves are close by and worth a visit if you enjoy local wildlife and walking.

You are spoilt for choices if you wish to visit a beach, Camber sands is only 3 miles away and for shingle beaches, you have Winchelsea Beach and Pett Level all within a 10-minute drive. The seaside town of Hastings is around a thirty-minute drive away and here you can get mainline trains to London if you wish to explore the capital for a day.

If you fancy a day trip to the continent, the Eurostar can be picked up from Ashford International Station, and trains to Paris, Lille, and Brugge are available.

Alternatively, the ferries run from Dover, just 45 minutes away or the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone, a 45-minute drive.

  • Good transport links are available if visiting by train - from London, you can get to Rye via Hastings or alternatively from Ashford International Station.
  • If traveling from Europe via the Eurostar, then depart at Ashford International and get the connecting Marsh link train to bring you to Rye.
  • If driving from Europe, the town of Rye is about 45 minutes from the ferries at Dover or the Euro Tunnel at Folkestone.
  • Gatwick Airport - approximately 50 miles from the property.
  • There are regular buses that travel to Tenterden, Hastings, Folkestone, and Camber from Rye.
  • Taxis are available from Rye Railway station.
  • Easy to explore Rye on foot.
